Very interesting, lots of info and up close with the birds. The free flight aviary was loved by the kids. Seeing the kiwi in the kiwi house, the eel feeding is awesome. Nice walk through the redwoods and up the loop track with great views at the top. The cafe has good food.

Such a lovely place to spend a relaxing day watching the wildlife, and chatting with the friendly, knowledgeable staff. I definitely recommend going to all of the talks, I always learn something new. The cafe is also a lovely place to refresh during your visit.

We arrived right on 9am which turned out to be the perfect time to get a lot of activity from the residents of the Nocturnal House. The Kiwi come right up to the glass and the red light makes them easier to see. The rest of the park is beautiful. A few empty aviaries but those with occupants make up for them well and truly. Would highly recommend a visit

Excellent place for a hike and nature immersion. Some easy places to walk as well for more family orientated experiences.

Good place for a walk in the bush, saw lots of large compounds with lots of bush but not the bird that was in them ...? The Kiwi was hiding but i saw the area it lives in ....The bird walk in enclosure didn't seem to have birds either...thank god for the amazing king size eels. Nice staff, nice walk ...be nice to see some birds. There was a display with a kiwi in the foyer so i took a picture of that.

Great place to pop in and explore. The special welcome by Everlynne was very warm and informative. The kids enjoyed exploring all the aviaries and displays. We stayed for 2 hours, facilities were well maintained and informative. Toilets nice and clean. Parking was great and there is even a free ev charger. The Kaka Cafe replenished our energy. The food and drink options were plentiful. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Great stop on your way through to the south Wairarapa or Wellington. Very informative and truly celebrates our precious native species. Try a session of eel feeding, loads of fun! Great for the kids.
