What amazing people, who did what others said couldn’t be done.....a stacked cheesecake! A special call out to Dani who helped us bring our ideas and vision to life in the most delicious cheesecake that got completely annihilated. We emailed them a week out from the wedding having almost given up on the idea of a stacked cheesecake for the wedding and they nailed it! Super cool people, easy to deal with and they even went out of their way to look after the maid of honour who picked up the cheese cakes on the way up to the wedding. Thank you team, we loved it!!!

Let me start off by saying that this place sells THE BEST lemon cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life!! It’s so hard to find good lemon flavoured cake options and they’re absolutely aced it the blondies and brownies also never disappoint. I always like to drink their wonderful iced lattes with my cupcakes to balance out the sweetness. Definitely recommend eating here if you have a sweet tooth! They also have loads of gluten free options.

My friend and I had a lovely experience at Spongedrop. Great coffee and loads of delicious gluten free options available. The gluten free savoury muffin was very good. We enjoyed looking at the pretty cupcakes and macarons in the cabinets. Will definitely return...soon hopefully.

The ladies at Spongedrop are amazing! They made the most beautiful cake for our wedding that tasted as good as it looked! We also bought some gluten free options for our guests from the cabinet and they went down a treat. Highly recommend!

One of my clients got cupcake set and I totally in love with their cupcakes. This little cute cafe is very attractive place with other drinks and bakes. I am glad Tauranga has this awesome place. This cupcake set works as a gift. Very successful present ) Thanks and hope you can get a city branch soon. Very recommended.

Very disappointing is an understatement. My wife bought a cake for her 40th birthday, so it was a very special occasion, she was hesitant to order a cake as she makes AMAZING cakes, but because we were traveling, it was going to be complicated to make the cake and bring it to Tauranga, so she decided to order it online, she ordered a chocolate cake. When we turned up at the shop, somehow they managed to stuff the order up and guess what?? They didn't have the chocolate cake she ordered and wanted, so the girl in charge very kindly offered to give us a vanilla cake with chocolate icing, my wife is very kind and gentle, so she decided to accept it, we then waited 30 minutes for the cake to be done, while we were there I had a chocolate raspberry cream brownie and my son had a macaroon, they were both DELICIOUS!, so we were really happy thinking the cake was going to be the same level. After we sang happy birthday we cut the cake... wow I would give that cake 3 out of 10 and plus the experience and the waiting and the disappointment I am giving this shop 2 stars... not only me everybody thought the cake was under average... awful, nothing to do with the macaroon and the brownie my son and I had... so they really ruined a very special occasion for my wife... very, very, very sad and disappointed.

They have very nice cupcakes and yummy slices. I love this place because is location you can grab a cofeee and desert and sit in the park on a sunny day. Very clean and friendly staff always.
