Great experience with sunglass hut. Firstly I purchased a pair of sunglasses from Hamilton that I choose to swap in Aussie when i was there as i changed my mind. Once home in NZ i dropped them and stepped on them (very annoyed with that!!) and i was able to purchase a new pair for half price. There was a warranty issue with them after 15 months and was able purchase a new pair on their full price even through i got them at 30% off.

You would think given the value of the sunglasses they sell, they would have fantastic after sales care.... turns out to be not the case at all. I have brought a few pairs of sunglasses over the past 24 months (x2 Prada, x1 Oakley), well over 1500 worth with this store... I had a situation with a pair of Prada sunglasses (25 months old, 500 value) the arm has become loose, one month out of warranty. The customer service rep didn't want to know... no after sales support, no repair service available, no discount on buying a replacement pair offered. To be honest I will now gladly avoid this place from now on, great service at the front end when your handing over cash, but rude and very unhelpful service if you strike an issue. They have had had my last purchase, would not recommend SUN GLASS HUT when other sun glass providers are a LOT more helpful and accommodating, even offering support to myself with glasses when purchase not made in there store.

Bought a 500 pair of sunglasses a couple of years ago and The film on the lense has cracked. Took them in to have repaired and was told if they weren’t under warranty we can’t do anything. I then asked to have them sent for repair and I will pay. I was told again we can’t do that, it’s warranty only. No back up service at all. I was told to find someone else to fix them then she turned away to someone else to make another sale. Won’t be back. OPSM was very helpfully.

Went into this store yesterday looking to purchase sunglasses and was so disappointed the sales person was quite rude and unempressed by my 100-150 budget. I explained I'd seen some styles online which she expected I would bring up on my phone rather than her look on the computer. She left me to Google while she went off to chat at the till! I left and spent 169 at OPSM on new sunglasses your loss
