Ha family trip without the skiing nor snowboarding, wouldn't of made a difference since the weather wasn't playing ball lol.. mountain closed good thing too one day totally no visibility next mega high winds... however first time for the 2 year old on the windy but sunny as day making snow people and things... but tell you what if they closed the road off during summer could lead to an awesome hill climb for motorsport. Other than that great location, however couldn't comment on the staff because there was none... ah bet they are nice as.

Dont need to ski to enjoy this place. Still a good place for anyone who just want to experience some snow.

I don't have the words to describe how happy I was to walk upon Turoa and to be able to snowboard was even more of a blessing. Really left a great impression and I would love to come back here again. Thanks.

These are the last days of the season but the snow on top is still great! My mates and I have had quite a few legburing rides today!

Great ski field that has a number of lists that take you to some fantastic skiing.

Went in late summer but still stunning, amazing views. No clue what the skiing is like however.

An awesome place to ski in the north island with great runs, parks and back country runs. Cafe and bar facilities. Great for beginners with learning area, sledding area and lessons. If your more advanced you can challenge yourself with steeper runs from the top of the mountain, lots of fun for skiers and snowboarders alike.

Local field, and has always been amazing. Hard to give an unbiased review of this place as I've been snowboarding here for 20 years. So I won't. Up front before you continue on this review is subject to my long years experience riding Turoa and Ruapehu in general. Some things change, some stay the same. Field is unyielding and varied based on coverage. If you time it right you can ride all day without waiting in queues for too long. I've always thoroughly enjoyed riding here, and the whole mountain in general. Cafe's are always busy so be prepared for that, Snowflake especially, but their burgers are worth the wait. Up to 20 fir a burger, bear in mind you're on a mountain.... buying gourmet food no less Priced to match, all things considered. Mountain wide, staff are always fantastic, friendly and helpful.
