From start to finish Brad was the perfect tour guide, unfortunately the rain was pouring when we arrived so Brad gave us a few options to go out, money back or change the date. We decided to carry on and go out as we were only in the area for the day and boy it was worth it! Brad talked us through all the health and safety elements and ensured we had all the right gear on to stay warm and dry. The trip was great we passed lots of interesting shoreline, birds, wildlife and of course the famous slip Apple rock. Brad took the time to tell us stories, legends and myths and took lots of photos for us before heading back for a warm shower and brilliant hot chocolate! Can't wait to go back in the sunshine to see it all again, we'd highly recommend Kahu Kayaks and can't wait to use them again!

We had an excellent trip to Adele Island and Observation Bay. The guides really looked after us. We were intrigued to see the kayaks returning to Marahau on the watertaxi.

We had a wonderful experience kayaking with Kahu Kayaks. It was nice to have a small group of only ourselves. Our guide, Keegan, was amazing and made sure we were all entertained.

This is the best location to paddle. We had the best safety instruction I have ever had, filled with humor. Boats were in clean and overall good conditions if you consider that they must be used daily. We freedom kayaked for one day what came out to be about 6 hours (you have to be back by 4pm) but if you're not having more time in this region and are not often on the water that seems to be enough to me. You are going to see blue water, golden beaches that are only accessible from the water, rocks with seals on it... One of the best experiences of my New Zealand trip. Thank you! And when your arms are tired, you can have one of the best burgers at "the fat tui" which you can find right on the car park.

We had a fun day kayaking and then going on water taxi and spent a few hours in a beach. Highly recommend them!

We had a 1 day freedom kayak rental. It was amazing. Staff very friendly, helpful and funny. I would definitely recommend! It was a beautiful day of exploring Abel Tasman. We saw seals, beautiful beaches and also playful dolphins.

We had a great kayaking trip on 30 December, and lucked out with the weather. We were a little slower than other kayakers, and unfortunately our Guide Kegan did not stay back with us or kayak back to us to see if we were OK - this worried us especially when the Guide led us out to choppy open water and did not come back to see if we were OK as we were having trouble controlling the kayak. It would have been great if the Guide gave a bit more commentary about the geology/history of the area - as we were a little slower than others in the Group we often missed what the Guide was saying to the others. Otherwise we had a fantastic lunch (would have been nice if the lunch was a little bit longer). And the company and staff were very friendly.
