Thank you for the great breakfast and great service. Staff are polite and attentive. The manager also helped return my purse and wallet all the way to Wellington, thanks Julian! Really lovely cafe with quaint outdoor tables. Excellent service and very tasty food. Not large portions for lunch but good value. Best coffee I’ve had in 3 days.

Very nice place and good decor inside. I sat outside. Service was nice with attentive attendants. Had their big breakfast as they were kind enough to remove the bacon and replace with sausage. 24 approx. Similiar to prices everywhere but quantity was less. Menu mentioned portabellow mushroom but normal Mushrooms came out.. I also ordered a salmon side 7 (smoked). Small for the quantity. This tasted just like supermarkets one do. And large FW 5.50. Ok (have had better coffees) I also took a lemon cake 6 and an Madeline 1.50 Overall definitely worth a visit.
Great food and coffee. Try the hash browns with eggs Benedict, their flavour is just amazing, not big fat and greasy! Wish I could figure out the flavour to recreate!
Had the black pudding with beetroot served on bread with goats cheese spread. Amazing combination of flavours! Friendly staff with great service.
Nice little Cafe, very busy, good coffee & food. Home made bread & bacon very nice! Really friendly professional staff so definitely will come again when next in Napier
Our whole team felt the quality of the food was better than the place we had breakfast at the day before. The two food tech teachers were very complimentary of the Eggs Benedict they had. The coffees were superb and the French owner was really pleasant and we felt really at home. Sorry, l forgot to take pictures.

Nice food but for what you get it is overpriced and under portioned. Have eaten at other places where I paid under half of what I paid here but got double what they put on the plate at Tennyson Bistro. Would recommend it if you have money to spare and don't mind getting less for the high amount they charge. Slightly disappointed.
