Shame we cannot give a 0-star rating, as that is all that Mainfreight deserve. IF they answer the phone, usually it rings for over 5 mins with no response. Abysmal is the best description I can give. 1 day for freight to come from New Plymouth to Napier, then 13 more days from their depot to Onekawa Industrial, 2.9km away. They don't care and give the standard "We've experienced a huge increase in freight lately" response. It would be less hassle and faster for me to collect items from the suppliers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Terrible service, and has been like this for a few years now. Many of our suppliers and ourselves no longer use them due to the poor service. Our local branch manager has known they have been short staffed for a few years now and chose to do nothing about it. I have had a simple single pallet delivery sitting in their depot since 15th February and its now 1st march and still no show . Napier Branch manager needs the sack.
Great if you prefer your package to sit at the depot for a week instead of being delivered. No answer if you try to call.
Would rate zero if I could. Some of the most ABYSMAL customer service I have experienced. 21 days so far to deliver freight from Wellington to Palmerston North. followed up 4x times now.
Probably some of the worst customer service ever! All we wanted was our package that had been sitting in the Napier depot for days. If your lucky enough to have your call answered, dont expect to have someone actually help you instead you will probably be hung up on for no reason at all! When we talked to the sender he assured us that it was on a pallet and wrapped...when it arrived it was unwrapped and not on a pallet! It seems that after 3 years of negative reviews nothing is changing with this company! BEWARE!
very very slow service in Napier the item arrive from auckland 5 days ago and still sitting at the napier depot when i rang the number no answer very poor not worth using this service again
Once again Mainfreight (literally) fail to deliver. No call ahead as instructed, then left a card with no consignment number, or phone number to contact. Then have to wait days for them to eventually deliver. No wonder there are so many bad reviews for this company..
We are still waiting for a delivery from Taupo to Napier (an hour & a half drive away). It was dispatched from Taupo 2 November 2020. It's now 17 November. We called Napier Depot about a week ago after it had already been sitting there for nearly a week, they said they would put it to dispatch. Rang them again this morning. They had said we will get it this afternoon, it is now 5:10pm and it still hasn't arrived. We paid good money for this service. Not happy.
