Wonderful food. A risotto can be a risk, but the duck risotto was magnificent. The fish was also outstanding, almonds vine leaves, just divine. The deserts superb. Is there anything Mister D doesn't do well? Don't miss it!

One of Hawkes Bay’s best eatery’s. a classic. Good for wine and a lovely dinner. The setting is magic and the staff are lovely. Highly recommend the duck risotto, but it’s hard to go wrong with the menu.

Very good food and service, and a restaurant to return to. The octopus dish was yummy. A big thank you David & Pru and their team! Great food and service. If I’m being very picky, it would have been nice for bread rolls to be warm and served with butter, rather than olive oil. But every dish we had was awesome.

Dropped into Mister D for breakfast and were delighted with the experience. The service is next level and the seating is well laid out with many choices. The meals are unique and we enjoyed our selection immensely while sitting under an olive tree in a private courtyard. If this is what is offered for breakfast I can't wait until we have a chance to go for dinner.

Outstanding eatery. Delicious flat white coffee. Good service, friendly staff. If in Napier, I reckon this is the place to have breakfast/brunch. You must try their donuts - to die for (didn’t last long enough to take a picture)

First time visiting and ordered a big breakfast and the smoked fish cake benny. Both items were decently portioned. The fish cake was my favourite, the fish was not too smokey and a squeeze of orange juice really complimented the flavour. The big breakfast was good but would of liked it if it has some greens to compliment the dish. Would come back again.

Very nice ambience. Visited Dec2020. I had the grilled octopus which am was amazing 19. This was my first time having octopus. Tasted very nice and not very chewy which is sometimes the case with seafood of over cooked.. certainly recommended. For mains I had their special which was bone marrow ravioli 29. I found this quite difficult. Even though I love bone marrow and have it regularly but this was quite heavy and oily. I couldn’t finish it . Would suggest to steer clear. Unless u r an Adventurer.. misfired for me :) For dessert I had their peach and vanilla ice cream. This was very nice 18. Plus a drink so overall 82... wil come again for something else.. Visited again in mar 2021. This time had special drink 18. Ora king salmon which was basically just fresh raw salmon. (24) and roasted fish (35) this was monk and was chewy. For that price I’d have expected a more delicate fish like snapper or Tarakihi. On a whole expensive but definitely worth trying. ________ Mar 2021 Visited for breakkie Had eggs (22) 2 eggs with toast, mushroom n tomato. and fruits 16 Expensive .. try other places for breakkie

This place is so amazing, I ordered steak whilst my family ordered a plethera of food, and I can safely say that this food was divine. My beef was well taken care of, asked for medium rare, got medium rare, tenderloin was delicious. Staff are so kind and bubbly, they can make you smile and joke around whilst still being as efficient as possible.
