Heard a lot about it. It's known for being the most photographed statue on NZ. It did not disappoint. Plenty of parking available. Beach walk was also very nice.

Was good to see her again. Haven't visited Pania for over 40 years. I'm glad she's still there, even if she is a bit shiny in some places

The statue is located beside the Tom Parker Fountain. It is quite intricate and fairly big. The plaque was very interesting as it goes into the story of how Pania created the Reef around Napier. I was glad I came across this before heading to the National aquarium as there were a few references to Pania and I understood what it meant.
