Upstart Media Ltd is the company behind Upstart Magazine and Upstart Online. Upstart Magazine is the only NZ produced and nationally distributed magazine for boys and girls aged 3–12 years. We distribute 30,000 copies and reach an estimated audience of 150,000 children per edition. Magazines are distributed on Air NZ trans Tasman and Pacific flights, at McDonald's Restaurants (McOpCo), through schools, via retail (personal subscriptions and via traditional newsstands nationwide) and by official media partner relationships (e.g. J Rock, Outlook for Someday awards, ASB Stage Challenge, etc.).
