We went for a walk around Naseby and headed up to the swimming dam. Very cool place. It was a freezing cold day with a wind chill too so we didn't swim. The dam looked like it would be refreshing on a hot day. There's picnic facilities, rest rooms and a diving board. Nearby is the entrance to the Black Forrest and a plethora or walking/bike trails.

We visited after dark. The flat calm water was reflecting the crystal clear sky and all was silent apart from frogs croaking. Satellites passed swiftly overhead, and we even spotted some shooting stars. The Milky Way was so clear - thousands of stars were visible. Just beautiful.

Old fashioned swimming pond with good diving board, playground & picnic area. Water can go a bit green later in summer.

I love the Naseby swimming dam. It's a man made area that is filled up only for summer. There are public toilets, a few picnic tables and swings. There are some magical days when you get the whole place to yourself
