Seems like a small family run business. Please expect slow serving and delay since there are only few staffs ,not sure how many person cooking in the kitchen but could be just one cause we have waited over an hour for these two dishes. However the food taste very good and very fresh ingredient too. I will still give a 5 to the taste but not for service.

Great ambiance and the food was amazing. One of the few restaurants in National Park and definitely on the "fancier" side. I had the Lamb Shank (2x) and the Calamari to start. Both were equally delicious and full of flavor!
Came here on a rainy, cold day and felt comfortable right away. Such a unique place with good food, coffee and excellent Dessert! We came back a 2nd time just to have dessert (our reward after the tongariro alpine crossing) a dessert never tasted that good! They have a very good burger menu, they serve pasta and pizza as well and if you want to you're welcome to play pool or dart.
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Even they have great staff as well! If have a plan to go skiing again, definitely will eat here again.
Excellent food here, just understaffed. It is worth the wait though. No compromises on food quality. Cozy place with excellent wine selection. There is a pool table available for the after hours. And they make a strong mean espresso. If you are looking for a job - please apply with these folks. There is a strady crowd of skiers, backpackers and hikers, mixed with some of the locals. We stayed 3 minutes furter down the road in the Mountain Heights Lodge.
Nice place and delicious lamb steak. Good for dinner with the family
The food was really good and friendly staffs. We ordered 2 of Beef Filets, South Island Salmon and double shanks of lamb. They were so amazing especially the onion sauce with beef but the salmon was a bit under standard. Overall 4.5/5 highly recommended
