This venue is really good. We had to share a bunk bed room with strangers, but then at 25 per night, this is to be expected. Room was clean and warm. Bedding was clean, with a duvet to sleep under. You could use your own sleeping bag if you prefer. Shared kitchen and lounge was good, with opportunity to talk about your day's activities with other lodge users. Tidy shower rooms and toilets. This was good value for staying at before heading out on a hike.

Awesome place. The people who run the place are the best. I'll be back. Clean and tidy, fireplace, spa with jacuzzi, superb.

Great service from staff and good advice on local attractions. Clean tidy rooms. Good package for the Tongariro crossing.

Great value room. Great standard of cleanliness. Very polite and helpful reception/staff. The only downer is how noisy the kitchen /living area floor/footfalls from other patrons are if your staying in rooms 12 or 13.

Nice lodge in National Park. Really convenient for the shuttle. Bed was comfortable. We used the spa after the hike which was so good. Good value for money too.

Nice place, friendly receptionist. Sofa bed was made up for us as we arrived late. Answered our questions about the stay and doing the Tongariro crossing. Room was clean and tidy, good shower and amenities. Likely to come back if we're in the area again.

The people were nice, and we did enjoy most of our time here. But unfortunately it was really hard to have a good night sleep. People talking outside our "unit" at 2:30am felt like they were just inside with us. So loud they woke up my baby daughter 2 times until I asked them to move away from there. And what surprised me was that they were just talking normally, not doing anything over the top. Also, every night it rain, there was a really Annoying Loud Noise outside, like drops on a plastic lid, that hammered our heads the same way drops in a leaking sink. 2 out of the 3 nights me and my wife woke up to that dripping sound in the middle of the night. And every morning we also found the floor wet, as the windows and door on the unit created way too much condensation overnight. The kitchen was small for a Lodge, it felt good for a family home, but not for a place with several different families trying to cook at the same time. On a positive side, we really appreciate the kids toys on the lounge. That was great to entertain our kid as I was cooking. The spa is a big plus. Great time to relax, is private and away from the units. And we also liked the friendly cat walking around.
