Nice memorial that hits close to home for me. 7 generations ago my family came from Germany and I am pleased to see their names on one of the plaques. The plaques also contain information about each boat that came, telling the story of the travellers.

Great historical plaques commemorating the early ships in Nelson. Very pleasant spot on a good day with harbour views, the boulderbank and the cut. Very good cafe adjacent, also fresh fish and a fish and chips shop
