Beautiful place and great help from local volunteers. The wall around the sanctuary is to protect birds inside from predators. The first loop is landscaped so it is easy access to families and wheelchairs. Well worth the small fee, families or year long passes, which helps to maintain the facilities

A beautiful escape from the city. The brook Sanctuary has open days every now and then but is otherwise a cheap experience for all ages.

Had a lovely walk around the Brook Sanctuary today. Was greeted by very friendly staff (Katie) and a volunteer (Sally) who gave a great introduction on how the sanctuary is run. We did a small, 1 hour walk around a well sign posted route. You need to wear trainers for some of the routes and the longer ones would be best with hiking boots. There is a wheel chair./ stroller friendly route as well. We paid 40 for a family ticket which was exceptionally good value. We would definately recommend it to everyone and will visit again in the future.

What a wonderful place for the whole family. Great bush walks, the loop is even stroller and wheelchair friendly. Many wonderful birds sighted and the volunteer staff was super friendly, going out of their way to give us a great experience. Highly recommend

Amazing place for nature walks. We saw Wood pigeons, Tui and other birds. This sanctuary is looked after by a trust. A great place for family.

Reminds me of Zealandia, only much cheaper! A treat to have such a lovely, safe spot so close to the city. Multiple walking tracks to choose from

Amazing walks in native bush very close to Nelson. Thoroughly reccomend to any who visit. Not quite to the par of Zealandia in Wellington, but still great.
