Yesterday I spent a great day with four others under the guidance of Bruce Stuart on a Lost Arts one day knife making course. I would highly recommend the course, laid out in logical stages, with everyone on the same page busy fashioning and comparing designs and progress. Making something you can then use is really satisfying and with expert guidance the finished products were all unique, finished to a high standard, and fit for the use intended. I will go again. Let's not forget the refreshments and lunch put on as well, busy hungry knife makers will not be disappointed, thanks Anna. Personally I'd rate it a 10 out of 10 tick off the bucket list. Thanks for a great day everyone involved, Keith

Thank you very much for the excellent knife making course I attended on Thursday. As a retired teacher I can recognize an excellent communicator who has the knack of putting difficult concepts into ideas that every one can understand, and I applaud you for that. The whole day went so quickly I was amazed to find that it was gone 5pm when we finished. I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone. May I also take the opportunity to thank Ann for putting on such an amazing range of food for us during the day, ranging from home made scones for morning tea to an excellent buffet for lunch. Without doubt it was the best 'hands on' course I have ever attended and I hope that I will be able to return for a sheath making course, so that I can complete the exercise. Thank you once again.

Fantastic experience! The whole day was a success. Be prepared; it's a long one. But at the end of it you walk away with a great knife with a high quality finish, much higher than I was expecting! Morning tea with homemade scones, delicious lunch platter, and afternoon tea with homemade cookies rounded the day off perfectly. We were well looked after by Bruce and Anne. Would highly recommend!

Such a great day learning actively about making a knife. A small group of 6 made the learning and sharing the challenge very enjoyable. The workshop caters well for the numbers and the style of teaching is relaxed but with structure. We all made different knives and I think we all left feeling pretty proud of our accomplishment. The hospitality and generous catering was of a high standard and very welcomed. Totally recommend this course . Many Thanks to Bruce and Anne.

My son and I received gift vouchers for this knife making course. From the time we booked until we completed the course the communication from Bruce and Ann was excellent . Our knife making experience in Bruce’s workshop was tremendous. Bruce is knowledgeable, helpful and hands on. It quickly becomes apparent that Bruce is a passionate knife maker. His enthusiasm Is infectious. Bruce’s leads the knife making process with an excellent manner ensuring everyone is capable and confident to produce whatever knife they choose to make that day. By the end of the course everyone had made a knife to be proud of. Ann’s contribution is making sure that the course participants are heartily looked after, and we were, all day. A very enjoyable day. I’d recommended this course to anyone interested in knife making - male or female. Tony and Michael J
