New Plymouth observatory is a hidden gem of New Plymouth, that I discovered after 5 years. In the city. The Observatory is run by volunteer and is open for public one day /week. It has two decent telescopes, which are decent enough to show that Venus is not a full circle and the colour bands and moons of Jupiter. Me and my kids enjoyed the visit and will not wait another 5 years to go again
