We really enjoyed this place because of the blue skies that day. It made our pictures sorta like a painting,or should I say poster type. Amazing piece of architecture. We were trying to fit ourselves plus the wand in the photo (trying to be more creative) but it changes its position every so often that we need to readjust. Views of the tasman sea from here is really breathtaking! You can hire an e-scooter for a stroll in this coastal walkway.

I'm not sure what the wind wand is for, but it was apparently designed by a famous NZ artist (Len Lye). The coastal walkway where the wind wand stands (or sways) is an amazing walk though and definitely worth the visit. This kinetic sculpture just makes things more interesting, I guess

Nothing much here. But great view tho! Come during windy day then you can see the wind Wand moves (obvious).

Awsome but would have been even better if it were there. Other than the missing wind wand it was amazing

Wand has been removed. (Reason for low rating). Only concrete base remains. People hire ebikes from cycle shops to ride along the ccncrete coastal walk (highly recommended). Aquatic Centre (to South) and East Beach (to North) are on coastal walk.

Awesome place to chill and unwind. Just right in front of the mall. Parking might be a bit hard to find during peak hours.

Great meander and walk along the waterfront. Shame the weather was not on our side this evening
