If you're hoping that your chimney sweeper will arrive at your property and announce their presence before deigning that you're not in, these guys might not be for you. I can't quite explain it but he turned up, and didn't phone, text, email or knock on the door. In fact he didn't even get out of his van! As I was walking up the driveway to greet him, he drove off and I got a call from head office asking where I was. Unfortunately by the time they got hold of him to say I was indeed home he was a few minutes' drive away and didn't fancy back tracking. No apology from the company. Two stars because at least they didn't try to charge me. Edit: down to one star due to reply below. We've got security cameras showing him arriving and leaving after 1 minute and 5 seconds. I was home, and to say you can judge a two storey four bedroom house with a back garden and a garage to be empty from the main road is a little ludicrous.

Asked for a quote to fix our fireplace and sent through photos showing the crack in the fire place. He came out and said straight away that it can't be fixed and he would not attempt to clean the flue either. But he wanted 100 for coming out! Thanks! Maybe check out the photos next time before coming out. Got it fixed by someone else anyways!

SOOOO helpful 11/10 would recommend! This company has next-level information, I rang to book in a sweep, but after discovering that our fire was in fact broken and needed to be replaced they gave better advice than the fire store - and they got nothing out of it!

Today I had the pleasure of a visit from Daniel of Smoky Chimney Sweeps to conduct a chimney sweep and safety check. Daniel did an excellent job and also took the time to draw a diagram with notes to explain how to get the best out of my antique 60 year old fire place. He's a great communicator, friendly, prompt, reasonably priced and started work on time. Highly recommended.

I am a property manager and these guys are so professional and reliable. They really know their fires and chimneys, great to have a cert from them for your insurance protection. Fast Friendly service, and if you don't book til late Autumn I guess a popular well run company will be booked out so totally worth the wait for these guys.
