01/04/20 Sherri was being extremely rude at me when my appointment was misplaced by her staff in their system, and she told me to leave. Full story: I went two the salon about four days before this date to get coloring done, and the hairdresser didn’t have enough time to style and cut, so the helpful assistant booked me a few days later on April the first. She knew I was flying to Wellington the next day. And I took some time off work that day to get my hair done. Got there 5min late cause I was correcting my parking, my appointment was at 4:30pm. I got there and asked the receptionist about my appointment, politely apologized for the 5min delay. She looked at the computer and did not find my appointment. And then they found out it was being moved by one of the staff. They told me to wait for Sherri who is the manager and she just went to bathroom. Then she came and saw what happened and told me I have to leave because no one could do my hair. I wasn’t very happy of course because I was flying up the next day at 6am. So I insisted and asked even if I could come back later. But she was just being the most rude person I could ever meet. She first accused me for being so late (after all of this she apparently assumed I just arrived) and that was 4:45pm as I glanced my phone, she said they can’t clients arriving 10minute late. When she realized that just won’t hold she told me if I was going to be rude to her she will call security. That was her exact words and all I have done was to make sure she can’t bully me for “not being 10min late”. Even her own staff looked away when she said that. I just cannot believe that. And lastly she said she doesn’t care what review she gets. (I wonder.) I tried to call the 0800 customer support number on two occasions, both didn’t end up going throw due to ‘high volume of calls’. So this is the only place to complain. Honestly don’t waste your time, doesn’t worth it because I saw this happened to other customers as well.

Vivo Northlands is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the staff are amazing. I have finally found a salon I really want to go back to. Thank you Danielle (I think that was her name) very happy with the results.

I turned up for my appointment two days after booking and clearly explaining and talking with a stylist what I needed and she I turn went over how it would be done. Turned up only to be told we don’t have time to do that today, same thing happened at the same salon under a differnt name a few years ago

Got a deal on grab one for 149 ended up paying 210. Took 4hrs as she had 2 other clients on the go. Other client was getting vocal, as she was not happy. My hairdresser was having disbutes with another hairdresser, very uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Anyway the colour& how she cut my hair has completely dried my hair out, looks terrible& I'm going to have to get it all cut short. I've always had long hair in good condition, so I'm very upset. But on a good note, i complained to Vivo customer services and they were amazing! Got my money back, an apology& hair products in the post. Very impressed with how this was dealt with. Thank you Tina

This was probably the most unpleasant hair dressing experience I have had. I had a Grabone voucher for a full head of foils with cut and style and I was told with a printed invoice that it was going to cost an additional 120 for product. I have been to many Vivo's before with a similar deal and the most they ever charged for additional product was 40. I explained this but it was affirmed it was still going to cost this much, so I decided to have a half head rather than a full head of foils, which still came with 80 surcharge. My entire package took 5 1/2 hours and made me late for a dinner. At the end they couldn't figure out how to charge me the extra amount on the system, so left this off, after trying for 15 minutes when I was already running late. I can say the actual work was good and hair cut was well done, but it was actually quite a stressful, prolonged and unprofessional experience overall.

Booked one of there deals for 149 with hair cut an colour. Did not need cut so it went up to 179. Mmm I thought that was odd. Asked for purple. Was assured it was purple as it was a mix of two colours. None of the colours to me even looked purple an I was told it was bad light. Well I ended up with Burgundy not at all anywhere close to the purple I wanted an thought I was getting. Left very disappointed an she even wanted me to book another appointment to do it again. No way sorry what I got an what I asked for are two very different colours. Then to gut me even more not even 3 weeks an the colour has gone. I was told it would fade alittle but not disappear completely. Was told these dyes are better than supermarket ones yet supermarket 40 bucks an my hair is good for 5 to 6 weeks pay 179 an it's not even the colour I wanted an not even last a month. Very disappointed would not waste my time or money going back at all.
