Definitely best steak in town .. hands down.. the red wine jus was to die for.. definitely our new local Hubby has a nut allergy so the chef came out to chat through his options with the dish he chose, we were very impressed with that level of customer care.. 10 out of 10 team Kings

The burgers we had were amazing, they were huge and definitely worth it. So tasty as well.
Average for a working away stay... and the resturant was closed. To be fair the responce was very correct, my point is that, in my situation it wasnt an ideal place to stay while working away. And covid stuffed things up, but was great to see how the hospitality community got together to share opening hours. If i was going there for a holiday this would be a great place to stay.
Lovely vibe and very friendly staff. Had some good chats with the patrons. Overall a very welcoming place, will definitely be returning next trip
The food is amazing the staff are amazing. The bar has a great atmosphere and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Sit with a view of the mountain and enjoy a beer or wine. The menu has excellent options and something for everyone. The only disappointment was that we didn’t stay longer.

Food was very nice when we got it. We had booked for a group of 12, 3 days before going. They say that there was no booking, but communication between staff and someone who took the booking was nil obviously. They had run out of food choices for our group and we had to have what was left, which was not alot. I had been recommended by a local resident. My recommendation is order early and dont expect a well keep place, no paper towels in toilets.
We had a lovely meal and drinks at Kings Ohakune. Great hospitality and great accommodation. 5 stars
