The lodge is good enough to stay. It's very nearby to the main market and food outlets. There's no great view from the lodge, though. WiFi was metered and very poor network speed. The stuffs were really nice and very helpful.

Very nice owners! We stayed here for 1,5 months and enjoyed our stay so much! The owners are friendly and helpful. The hotel clean and tidy. Even during the second lockdown they tried their best to comfort the guests. Thank you for the good time guys. Highly recommended
Our stay was nice. The location is beautiful and calm. No noise, etc. Only problem I had was the mobile internet connection was not strong. The onsite wifi was slow and you can only use 500mb per day. Kinda low at this day and age. But if you're here for peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Rooms were clean and imaculate. The lady in the reception was lovely. She gave us all the info we needed for our Tongariro trip. Highly recommend this place if your traveling to Ohakune.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings, totally recommend this place as a getaway or just a place to stay with the family or your furry friend! They were so kind over the phone and very welcoming to my dog which is perfect as I have had other places be quite the opposite. Was simple and easy the rooms were clean and well presented price reflects the value very well and again would 100% recommend staying at this lovely motel and lodge

Due to Covid our festival that we were coming down for got cancelled so 2 weeks before our booking we called the property and asked if there’s any possible way of getting a refund. The gentleman on the phone proceeded to be very short with me and told me “non-refundable means non-refundable and that Covid was now part of our lives” Working in the industry of this business I do understand the hard times, for the business, but due to calling so far in advanced they had a good window of opportunity to be able to re-sell the room. The accomodation did happily move our booking to a date further forward, but due to our festival being cancelled there was no reason for us to travel all that way and we would have been happy with just half our money back. I have now been messaged multiple times and called multiple times to try get the review taken down. I have now just received a message stating they have re sold our room. No money and no room due to something completely out of my control. 400 is quite a lot of money to have to give up.
