Loved it. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff and a really good menu to choose from. There is a lovely garden area to sit in with a shade sale and plenty of umbrellas and it's dog friendly. My dog enjoyed being social and doing the rounds of the tables while we ate generous portions of fresh blue cod and salt and pepper squid. Yum!

Yet again another amazing time staying at Black's. You're fantastic people and will be missed when you move onto your next big thing. Great accommodation. Great food. Great gin. Great beer. Great whiskey. Great doggos. Greatest people xxx

We had the most enjoyable experience here. The food is highly recommended. The veggie burger is amazing. The hotel is quirky with plenty of things to feast your eyes on. The owner and his family work together as a strong unit and their definite aim is to please. There is a gorgeous shop on site as well with something for everyone. Our visit was an experience and would definitely return.

A great art deco building with quirky, eclectic decor make this spot a fun visit off the main drag from Omakau on the Ophir loop. It's one of the many sites on the self-guided walking tour in the town. The staff are helpful and friendly, and made us a lunch for the Rail Trail after a last minute request from us. There are some quiet and well-behaved dogs trolling around which is OK if you're an animal lover. The rooms are compact and certainly unique, and the continental breakfast is standard fare and plentiful. If you're after a taste of something a bit different this could be for you.

Absolutely adorable place, everwhere you look there was interesting things. Lovely dogs to greet you and a beautiful selection of whiskey and gin. Chips were great and the drink was even better. Couldn't recommend this place more. Just great.
