While the facilities are a bit basic, the location is lovely, and the place is well looked after. Unfortunately, the current owner is extremely abrasive and aggressive which significantly soured the experience. Fortunately, I understand the owner selling the place and getting out of the game. It would be unfair on a new owner to pay for goodwill which is then significantly damaged due to a previous owner's conduct.

We had the best campsite on the top of the hill, owners awesome so welcoming facilities great
Three night Easter break stay. Awesome - views, 5min walk to shops and wharf. Hot showers, good pressure, laundry & clothes line. Safe for kidz. Hosts working around site sunrise to sunset - clean. Sand dunes, swim, fish, jet skiing. BEST takeaway shop, way better than Mangonui.....
Facilities quite run down could do with an upgrade. Cute goats. Right by the beach overlooking the sand dunes on the other side of the river

A spacious holiday park situated in the heart of Opononi. You get decent water views from some of the spots. The hosts are lovely and place is reasonably priced. Facilities are a bit old but everything was in working order.
All the basics for our holiday trip. With water restrictions and drought being the topic of conversation I'd have thought the use of rainwater tanks and other water saving measures would be in practice. Great trampoline for the kids and easy access to a beach. Great to see separate recycling bins.
Owner is very rude, lucky i didn't get up and knock him one. View is good but truely a ripoff for what your given. If you can try find somewhere cheaper i would recommend to.
