An absolute must see spot to visit at night for an interesting waterside walk. Great spot even if it rains. A popular all weather route for dog walkers, bikes, scooters, runners and people who just need to go for a fish or splash in some puddles. Loads of parking everywhere and still plenty of buses at night. Pier is very well lit, there's usually someone fishing and suitable for prams (but not fenced for curious toddlers). Dress for the wind and weather. Well lit and clean toilets available at Okahu Bay. Walk or drive to nearby Mission Bay for late night coffee, ice-cream and takeaways.

Just opposite Kelly Tarltons is a nice little board walk. You can walk right out for some great views of Auckland and watch others or do your own bit of fishing. There is a large restaurant at the beach end if eating with a view takes your fancy. For me it's just another piece of Tamaki drive worth pulling over for and chilling for a while.

Very cold in winter times however worth visiting if you are in near by aquarium... although fishing is not allowed you will see many locals fishing on the podium. A very sarene place and you will see Auckland skyline at a distance. People use these waters to practice boating and wind sailing.

Great little pier to go too. Short and easy walk ahead for amazing views of Auckland city, rangitoto and Deveport. Worth the walk out there if you want to get some pictures. Parking can be a bit difficult in terms of finding a free slot depending on the time of year (mainly peak summer) but for the most part it's fairly easy to find free parking. A lot of people also dive into the water from this pier but please be careful and do this at your own risk as you can easily get injured.

I love this wharf where you can walk to the sea. It's recreational fish men's hot spot.Even I was there once and caught a king fish. There are marks of dirty spot where they cut their baits. Please keep this place clean - any of the fishing men if you see my post!

Stunning view.. If you come in winter like I did, better wear a wind breaker jacket.. or 12 cans of beers. The wind is strong here! Be carefull.. A good fishing spot here though.. just watch for the bird, they steal your catch if you dont aware...

A nice pier which is worth the walk can catch a stunning view of Auckland city and Rangitoto island. It may be a great fishing spot as there are also lots of people fishing at the end of the pier. The wind can get very strong, so do take extra care as the walkway is quite narrow.
