Shuttle service was really good. Nice clean mini bus which got us from the secure car park at the end of the track to the start of the track where we started our hike. I've given less stars because I understood the car parking area was patrolled and therefore a safe place to leave my car for the duration of the crossing. When we arrived at the end of the day there was no one from the car park around, so it was not secure. There may for all my knowledge have been no one watching over the cars once the last shuttle out had run, so I felt this was poor. If it is not advertised as secure and I am mistaken, then I apologize for my comments.

Very good service for parking and drop off. May be if they can pick up and drop off at Park again would be good service included. Because after Tongariro crossing in the end sometimes last 1-2Km to walk in dusty Gravel not great.
Drivers wearing masks. QR codes on each van. Passengers not wearing masks. Shirt bus journey. Good comfy modern van.
A bit pricy for a 22 minute bus ride but its the only way to get to the start of the hike. Very friendly and helpful though and happy to support the local economy that has been hit so hard by the lack of tourism

Ignore the bad reviews from the past, they exceeded my expectations. Was reticent to book after seeing some of the reviews but from the minute we arrived everything ran perfectly. There were people with clipboards greeting cars on arrival and they were very friendly and helpful. Departure ran on time and the car park was spacious and safe. A moari native came to bless our bus and the driver provided a voice over throughout the journey to the park. Couldn't have better exceeded expectations given I was expecting issues based on some of the historic reviews.

I had a wonderful time taking the shuttle to the start of the Tongariro Crossing hike. The company is run by the local Maori iwi and the shuttle driver spent the 30 min drive telling us the folk stories of the area as well as some safety tips. They were also quite flexible at moving our booking 30 minutes later when we were running late getting on the road. At 35, their rate was the cheapest I found online and the shuttle stop also has a carpark for you; these are located just a 10 minute walk from the end of the crossing so you don't even need a second shuttle to take you anywhere once you finish the hike.
