Interesting stop on the rail trail. Was intrigued about the clothes line AND the really cool stand for the wash basket and pegs.... Why are they not in the shops today!!! Cafe was great.

A highlight of our South Island experience. Hay lunch and then spent over two hours looking around. Wish I could have taken my Dad, he would have loved it too.

Amazing food!!!!!! Good coffee! Especially when it is freezing outside. Good home made meals right off the track. Do not ride past this place without stopping! Loved it.

It's a must if you like a bit of history, tools and machinery - most interesting. Take aan hour an enjoy. And the food's great!

If you want high quality food and coffee, don't drive past this place without stopping. I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of NZ pies and the homemade chicken, leek, and fennel pie was as good as they get. Topped it off with a homemade custard square, which was top notch.

Well worth stopping and view the engineering works and the homestead. Was a real experience to see what living conditions were like many years ago. Great food and coffee available. Great staff happy to share their knowledge of the area.
