Beautiful bit of coastline at the end of road with some great fishing on the right moon.

If you like a walk along the beach, do the Kaituna Cut Reserve. We did it with two dogs and just enjoyed it to hear the waves rolling on the beach. Many nice shells to find.
Always been another favourite fishing spot. Although, the long drop needs an upgrade. Otherwise a beautiful spot for a great day of fishing or a family day out swimming.

It's one of the best Inlets to fish. Mostly Kahawai however you do get the odd Eel, herring and Travely. And King fish on livies.
Quite an engineering feat to learn about as the Kaituna river has been rediverted to allow freshwater back into Maketu estuary here. A great spot from which to potentially view resident royal spoonbills and a visiting Kotuku (white heron). Good job BOP Regional council!
Nothing too amazing to see here. Just a river meeting the sea and a normal nz coastline
Just a great place to visit. A bit out of the way which probably adds to the experience.
