Great campsite with a helpful and friendly manager. Dogs allowed, but owners kept them well behaved. Quiet site. Now has 4 showers, and you get 6mins for 2. Pet bunny roaming around is a bonus!
Absolutely loved this place. The owner is kind,lovely and understanding.She is 5 stars on her own. The apartments and 3 bedroom house I booked were stunning and very homely. I will definitely recommend this place to all

The most luxurious and comfortable apartment we're found in the whole of Northland, we literally wanted to move in permanently. The bath, a real rarity in NZ, was an absolute treat. The balcony, bliss for breakfast in the morning and (the included) barbecue in the evening. All this with incredibly friendly service and at a lower price than most rivals. Highly, highly recommended!
- Friendly Staff - BIG HOT Family Showers (2 insert hot straight away) - Camper bays have dump stations (convenient) - Camper bays have a night light (handy) - Plenty toilets - 2 outside Kitchen sinks to wash dishes - Plenty toilets - Park is positioned away from wind which you will feel at the beach. - Countdown and petrol station walking distance. - Waitangi on the left of beach walking distance - Picnic grass area on the right of beach nice place to chill shops across the road. - Township a drive away. - Enjoyed our New Years here Thank you for our stay!
I have a mixed review on this. This was our first camping trip with our son and puppy. In terms of location, cleanliness and tidiness everything was perfect. I found the owner/receptionist not to be very polite.Reminded of our school principal She was not happy with the fact that we did the booking from book-it because they had to pay a commission to them & Secondly she INSISTED that our tent was very big and definitely not a three-person tent. Ours is a Torpedo Air series 300 which is a3 persons tent. Anyways, I didn’t know that size of the tent was something we needed to keep in mind as we were not asked what size of a tent we would be carrying while making the booking. Other than the first hour of our arrival, everything was perfect. So, size of the tent and where you book.from is something you may want to consider. Everythings well that ends well.The stay was good.
We had a wonderful stay at Bay of Islands Holiday Apartments and Campervan Park. Jan is extremely accomodating and goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction and comfort. The place has great facilities and is in an ideal location, with an easy walk to Paihia township. Would highly recommend to anyone.
