Like WOW! Finally a fish n chip shop with fresh and high quality seafood and made with care! New owners are pulling it out of the bag, far surpassed mangonui fish n chips and any other I have ever had. We were completely blown away by this fish n chip shop. A must try! Thanks Richard and family! We will be back.

Tonight the experience wasn't very good as the poor mum was left by herself trying to handle orders and cooking. It took a full 25mins to get 1 burger n chips and 1 fish n chips, and after that, the chips were underdone :( However, the freshly homemade ceviche from the cabinet was an absolute flavour burst; fresh and delicious, with a kick of spice. Although I winced at 14 for 200gm, I'd have to say it was actually pretty worth it & I would buy it again

We stopped over for dinner after checking in. The scent of the fish and chips drew us and personally, we were always looking out for good fish and chips and Vinnies did not disappoint. The owner was working without any assistance but he was courteous and patient while we were trying to decide. The wait was but for a while and we were greeted with a wide smile. The food was nice and hot. It did not take too long for the family to finish the food - a testament to the quality. As it was a take away shop, there were no toilets available. Seeing that the kids were in need to use the toilet, the owner was most kind to bring us personally to a toilet - what service. This is a great spot for fish and chips at Paihia - do visit if you are in the area. Located from the main street and across the road from the Tourist info centre, it would be easy to find and a short walk to the nearby supermarkets.

Awful. This place used to be great! Sadly no more. Older whiting was small and badly de-boned but unforgivably soggy batter stuck to the paper and slid off the fish. Unfortunately our ‘please extra crispy’ chips were even worse. Texture of thawed oven chips, paper colour. All went in the bin directly. The small Dory was fresh and eaten, its batter went in the bin same. Lemon slice was perfect I suppose.. I’d rather just throw the money in the bin and avoid the middleman. Avoid!

Favorite fish & chips we had on our roadtrip! The staff was very friendly both times we went here. Prices are very fair. We’ve gotten much smaller portions for the same price elsewhere! The fish was delicious and not greasy, the chips were nice and crunchy. Definitely a great eat!

This place is amazing. We took some fresh fish in we caught on a charter, he did an incredible job, best fish and chips weve had, and at amazing value. Thanks

Being so close to the sea, prime opportunity to experience a good feed of fish & chips, in this case snapper & chips x 2, 17.00ea ...1 pce of fish smaller than my hand & 2 pces are half the size of the large pce, well overpriced for a very disappointing dinner, safe to say what we got should not have exceeded 10.00 ..... one star is very generous
