Very popular place, lots of families. It's proximity to Goat Island is why I stayed here, I wish I had stayed here longer. Very limited cellphone reception. Gorgeous outdoor area by the kitchen, but NO utensils or pots, pans etc in the kitchen, however it was well stocked with clean cloths, teatowels and dishwash liquid. Wired in toasters, microwaves and a decent bench top oven to complement the gas hobs and a couple of gas-fired push-button BBQs in the outdoor area.
amazing beach. just an hour from Auckland. been there an hour ago. The waves were awesome!! white beach, plenty of space, clean bathrooms.
Wow. So close but so far away from it all. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Perfect place for kids and family holidays. Can't wait to come back.
We've been to Pakiri Beach Holiday Park quite a few times now – it's hard to go anywhere else! Our preschoolers love paddling in the estuary. Such a great place to escape from it all.
One of my favourite beaches. Although I wasn't a guest at the holiday park. I did enter the store and was greeted by the receptionist who was so bubbly ad happy to help.
Friendly reception and good preamble given of site facilities and nearby attractions. I didn't want a powered site, just wanted my camper to have a pretty view. We got that :) unimpeded views of the river and local bed life, pulled out my awning say in my camp chair and soaked it up. Close access to the beach, just a short walk and it's a lovely long sandy beach, people were sure casting but I hadn't bought my rod. Amenities in the camp ground were excellent, clean and looked new and fresh. Lovely camp will return.
Staff was super accommodating and made me feel at home. Beach and river access was great. This is a park where all the locals go to hang out with their extended families.
