A pretty busy cafe. Love the coffee and the brunch. The French Toast is wonderful. The Salmon with crispy potato is yummy but the serving size is pretty small.

Visiting Palmerston from Auckland and was taken to this delicious cafe. Must say one of the best cafes I have been to in NZ. The chicken liver pate with whiskey marinated figs was world class and the salmon and beef salads were highlights! The crepe for desert we could of thought we were in France.
First time we had visited The Elm Cafe and found it excellent. So good that we will return again. The dishes our group ordered included, Portello Mushrooms, Kumara Hash, and Omelette with Salmon. All came with a variety of extras including wilted spinach and with nuts and other things.
Good espresso and bruschetta at a reasonable price. Enjoyable outdoor setting. Shame this little gem is not open for dinner. Thank you to all the lovely saff and chef at the Elm today. Lovely service, yummy meals. Full of colour and taste, completed with a lovely wine. YOu helped make my fiance's birthday a lovely day. amazing
I didn't expect anything special and was pleasantly suprised with the cafe. The pancakes that I eat were perfect! The service was quick and very good. I was impressed!
Really nice cafe. Interesting breakfasts, very tasty. Will be back!
Great food and coffee. Friendly staff. Worth a visit.
The food is superb, great coffee and service. It can be a bit too noisy inside when busy to have a good conversation if you are hearing impaired.
