Jeff carried out an inspection and presented a report quickly, even offered and returned for a specific re-inspection at no cost which is likely to save me thousands. highly recommended for those wanting a thorough and professional inspection and general good building advice.

From a property owner's perspective: My husband had come home to the following mess. Jeff have moved sacred items in our house and not returned them to the original place. Instead, they were left lying on our garage floor. Secondly, in regards to invasive testing: A request to carry out this procedure without fixing up the damage. What professional stranger enters your property, creates damage (large or small) and does not have it fixed up? We sought a second inspection from a QUALIFIED BUILDER AND INSPECTOR. Their findings did not match or compare to Jeff's findings. We feel Jeff lacks professional people-skills, general building inspection skills and cultural responsiveness. Please also note Twigges is NOT a qualified builder. For any property owners out there who may have to confront this guy on you property, be aware. There are many other building inspection services out there in the Manawatū. After doing further research on his work ethics and rapport, his work is not well-regarded among other Builder Inspectors or builders in the Manawatū. No surprises there. We have also lodged a formal complaint. Regards and Goodluck!
NZ House Surveys Manawatu provided an excellent customer service experience for us when purchasing a home. They provided a timely (within 12 hours) house inspection report that was thorough so there were no surprises. Jeff Twigge (the building inspector) was available whenever we required him to help explain the report, provide advice about how some of the issues could be remediated and to provide professional opinion to the bank when they required it about minor faults identified in the building report. This really was one of the more painless parts of buying a house and Jeff’s approach was key to this. Anyone who wants to be reassured that they are getting good advice about the house they might be buying would be making a good investment in using Jeff Twigge and NZ House Surveys Manawatu. As first home buyers that know nothing about the trades and wouldn't of had a clue what to look for, the crew at NZ House Surveys Manawatu did an amazing job of explaining everything in terms we could understand. Jeff and team provided a very professional and detailed report for a house which we bought in 2017. I had asked for quotations from several survey companies prior to the survey engagement and eventhough Jeff's quotation was higher, we decided to use Jeff's services for the following reasons :- 1. Many positive customer reviews 2. Prompt reply to my email queries by Jeff, even giving free advice on another property we were considering. I really appreciated that. 3. Providing 2 person to do actual survey which reduces chance of oversight 4. On actual day of survey, Jeff went through the findings with me and advised how to get certain things fixed and the priority. Even helped with giving some recommendations of who can help fixed them. 5. Survey report also included some estimated costs to do up repairs and it helped us negotiate with seller to reduce selling price. Even though it had been 2 years since the survey, I could remember all these in detail because of how impressed I was with NZ House Survey.
