As other reviews have noted, actually finding the lab is difficult. No signage on the street, then when you turn down the lane, no signage there either. Even the sign outside the door is hard to spot. Maybe a banner would be useful? However once you've arrived things improve. There is a large waiting room and plenty of seating. No receptionist, just take a card and scan it so you're in the system. Both times I've been there have been plenty of staff who seem to move through the waiting list efficiently. If you turn up with a doctor's request form then processing it seems very easy. We came across a snag that took at least 10 minutes to fix when a blood test request has been emailed a few weeks ago to the system but got lost. As there aren't any admin staff around the slightly harassed nurse (who is there to take blood, not find her way around a computer) struggled to find what she needed. Apart from this difficulty, staff seem fantastic. Friendly and competent people who do their job well.

Waited 20mins,not one person went in for test,lots of staff doing nothing.when i ask how much longer got told another 25mins.Very poor

Extremely difficult place to find, need proper signage on Langdons Road, directing to buildings at back. Very stressful getting to SCL Northfield.

Very hard to find as there is no signage anywhere. The main entrance is down a long drive and without the signage it took me half an hour to find. Sometimes there is a small sign/flag out on the street but it's always obscured by the cars that are always parked there by people who work in the area. Very unwelcoming. No receptionist, just take a number. The people who take your blood print off the forms and they always print off the wrong ones. The seats are hard and uncomfortable. Last time I had to go there, there was no parking anywhere and the waiting room was full so I had to leave and come back another day. It's often very full of people waiting with only one or two staff on for some reason. And for some unknown reason my repeat test forms always “drop off the system” and I keep having to get another copy from my GP. I much preferred it when they were situated at St George's Hospital. Parking was easier. There was a receptionist to get your forms off the computer. And the waiting area was far more comfortable. They really need to up their game.
