Picnic Point is an absolutely stunning spot! Views out to long point are beautiful especially at sunrise, the ever changing Tahakopa Estuary is very picturesque. The nearby Picnic Point Walkway through virgin rimu forest, and back along the beach is one of the nicest short walks anywhere. The Southern ocean smashing into the rocks is epic when a big swell is running.
