Let's face it, the peak of plastic consumption has happened in our generation and we have watched it unfold into our daily lives, so it became part of our family. It is now the family member we are reluctant to invite over for dinner. As consumers we have become more complacent with packaging, but why? We got busy and brands have made life easier for us so we could do more with our day but in reality, we fell into and created a bad habit called “convenience”. With plastics making up to 40% of the packaging industry, it’s a big ask to change the habits of a lifetime for some of us.
