I called ahead to the porirua SCL to ask if I could get my antenatal bloods done on a Saturday and was told that was fine. On arrival the nurse was rude and abrupt and said they couldn't do it on saturday. Then said she would as I had called ahead, she asked me questions in a rude manner and ignored me when I asked to clarify things. She said she would have to lie about something to get it sent off which i didn't understand. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable. I would have rather come back another day than have had that service. Sadly I had brought my 3 year old with me to reassure her about injections as she had asked to come after finding her flu jab scary and I'm afraid it did quite the opposite. When we left she asked why the nurse was so grumpy and unkind!
