An amazing retreat, we stayed here as part of a walking tour. Spectacular!! Rooms are huge with lots of space and privacy. The restaurant is serving up everything delicious and the staff are super friendly! Private spas available and lots to do on site or close by. No reception, but wifi, so a good place to get away from it all for a few days

Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat was the perfect spot for our recent wedding. The team really pull out all the stops to make your day special and easy. It is a remote location but that is part of what makes it so great, you really get to spend some time with your family out in the quiet and beautiful space. The accommodation is great, lots of flexibility and space for a long or short stay. There are also plenty of areas to explore in or nearby to Tangiaro even relaxing in the spas listening to kiwi calls and watching the stars is worth the drive up here. I am looking forward to returning again to enjoy the quiet.
In such a beautiful location, and the food is really very nice (though the kids menu is very lacking in colour). The staff were... Interesting? Mostly they were friendly and tried to be helpful, but the manager wasn't really a people person shall we say. Otherwise, very enjoyable and relaxing
Myself and 2 other cycling friends spent two evenings at Tangiaro. We were all very impressed with this wonderful place ! We really loved the hospitality, accomodation ,food, spas and facility. David the manager was a marvellous host. Thank you so much for making our stay a true delight.
Well worth while visit. The journey there through the Coromandel forests is part of a great experience. Very comfortable self contained villas. Allow at least a couple of days minimum to make it worthwhile.
A top class remote caffee , accomodation and restaurant, beauty spa ,massage and wedding /conference venue, helli pad included. So jet in and enjoy. Take a roady upto Stony Bay because you can. A luxurious retreat waiting for you. Oh. Dont forget the home brewery ! A classy establishment!
My daughter had her wedding at Tangiaro retreat. What a fabulous venue, and the chalets were great accommodation.
Popped in for a snack. Lovely looking place but the older man (manager?) who served us has zero customer service skills. Not only had a rude manner towards us, but we could clearly hear him being rude and intolerant with the Asian lady working there. She had better table skills. Food v average.
