Stone Hill is a magnificent farm to horse trek around. The owners have been there 4 generations and know their land so well. They took great care of myself and 7 other friends, when we recently spent a weekend trekking and laying around the pool. They have really nice facilities for horses and humans. Only photos show how beautiful the property is. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

The Stone Hill horse trek is set on what is probably the most beautiful farm on the planet. Seeing it on horse back was an amazing way to get a closer look at the New Zealand countryside. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The horses were lovely and you get up close with some of the farm animals. Great experience!
You are worry-free and it feels like you are in a magical world... This is how a horse trek feels at Stone Hill. I could see the most diverse landscapes and it had some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Everyone is so friendly and the horses are so sweet that you feel safe and secure right from the first second. The leader Nicole was so lovely and full of knowledge about the horses and the amazing farm. Personally, I like it when something is full of action/adventure and that's why the adventure ride was perfect for me. I was so happy galloping up the mountains and had so much fun. Everything was very well organized and I can not think of a single point that should’ve been improved. It was a perfect ride from start to finish. If you are in New Zealand then the horse trek is a must-do! No matter if you are novice or advanced, there will be a trek for everyone. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience!
big recommendation for all travelers who are in the Waikato region and are searching for a nice horse trek. Had the best time there while doing the 2,5 hours trek with a nice little snack in between. Beautiful view and the best guide! Nicole is such a friendly and funny person.
Best horse trek in the country by far with with a break to try German Bread baked by the owner/operator giving a little history of this amazing landscape a must do for anyone of any age
If your looking for a place to do horse riding look no further !!!! Horse riding was on my bucket list for 3 years and I finally got to do it, I’m so happy we chose Stonehill because Nicole made us feel comfortable and at ease especially for first time riders. Nicole is a great instructor and very funny so the 2.5 hr trek flew by. Thank you Nicole for a fun filled day yesterday hopefully we see you again soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Nicole, Huntly, Boo and Teddy! What a shame Luke had been a bad doggie and couldn't come haha. Amazing views, awesome guided tour of part of their farm, great knowledge of the area, really wicked time overall. 100% reccomend to all Thanks for taking the awesome photo!
I had the most amazing time trekking at Stone Hill. Nicole was so lovely, the horses were very sweet and well behaved and the setting was so beautiful. If only I lived closer I'd be there all of the time!
