Always a pleasure to stay here, stunning harbour, great for boaties, canoeing swimming and fishing
Great camp at the top of the North, Excellent rates, Bloody good fishing, Clean and tidy amenities, Beautiful surroundings, Thoughally recommend it
Not for me this place, no real swimming beach just and estuary. We booked a space for a Campervan and got an uneven site. The showers and toilets were the only good thing about the site. The kitchens woefully inadequate, one fridge freeze, two washing sinks, one washing machine, one bbq and one pizza oven to share between hundreds. If that wasn’t enough the policing of activities was disgusting, apparently it’s ok for lazy campers to jump on quad bikes and off road bikes in the early hours to take their kids to the toilet because they are too lazy to walk 100m. No fresh milk for sale in their office and the shop, I would even call a shop as after long life milk just a few sanitary products and cold drinks. Paid 290 for five nights for 3 people on a powered site, left after four as the noise especially of the hoons on motorcycles was too much for me.
Didn't stay but visited friends. Great sites right by the water. Has good facilities
Looks like a nice place to stay. Unfortunately for us it was fully booked
This must be one of NZ best kept secret. So good I rebooked another visit. Was always clean and tidy And everyone was so friendly
Loved the camp, location, staff and price. Only draw back is the old run down permanents
