Great little airport... expensive food... toilets a bit dated... no sky bridges... a handy 10 minutes drive to the town centre... stunning scenery.

I fell in love with Queenstown from the moment I was about to land at airport. It is very scenic specially if you land in evening. Very cozy and nice airport with lot of different options to commute to city.

Good bookstore, reasonably smooth process. Good eateries before going to the gate, don't leave it til after you go through as mostly vending machines.

I have never seen it so empty. Covid has a lot to answer for. Had a bacon butty at the bar. Huge! Great value for money.

Yes, it's small. But, it does not need to be a large airport because of the size of Queenstown. It is extremely fun to plane-watch, especially with the idyllic views of mountains, snow, etc. Beautiful. There used to be a small Koru lounge that was foul... luckily this has been upgraded and I now think that it is just as good as the Auckland Koru Club Lounge because there are usually no people in it! The food is just as good, also.
