Awesome food! These guys really know how to cook and it was the best pub food I've ever had. The lamb shanks were perfect, the mash was creamy and had no lumps and it had the extra garnish of crispy, real fried onions. The nachos were full of flavour and was layered with great cheese, ground beef and fresh avocado. (I'm a chef with 35 years experience.) I highly recommend The Crown and I can't wait to go back. Thank you chefs!

Wonderful food and service. It has the children play room which surprised me. Had lunch with friend and family, they were happy to find somewhere out of town.

Great English style pub. We went on a busy night just before an event and they super helpful with check wait times for food. Even though it was busy, our good was out before the wait time suggested. Its little things like that they really make a difference. O had the curry and it was awesome.

Indoor and outdoor dining, kids room available. Service is good, food is great and very good customer service.most beverage and your favorite alcohol would likely be served in this pub

After visiting the circus we came here as a change to our usually places to go. Decent sun spot and not bad beers but the food was awful. We got curly fries, garlic bread and a jacket potato. The best thing about curly fries are that unique kinda spicy orange crunchy flavouring right? No lie, these things came out soft, pale and flavourless. The garlic bread was one of those baguettes you buy from a store and cook at home, usually pretty good! Not what you want when eating out though, especially when it’s a thick nearly burnt crust you have to chomp through. Finally the jacket potato.. it came out on a bowl on top of a plate, the bowl red hot so it had just come out a microwave or an oven as the cheese was crusted on to it and the skin was tough to cut through. If they can’t do a good job on fries, jacket potatoes and a garlic bread I doubt I’m gonna eat here again.

Very quiet and that must we paid 10 for a bowl of chips that were not really fresh, the other food was ok.

We noticed there were bluff oysters available so while discussing what we were going to eat, I did ask the bar staff about how the oysters were served, cooked in beer batter, so we decided to share a dozen between two, and one of us had a dozen with a side order of chips, OMG 60 dollars a dozen! I did question the staff if that was right, and it was. I didn’t want to disappoint my wife so paid up. But really guys, that’s just price gouging on these oysters. Think again, as I will be reluctant to come back and dine again, your steak eggs and chips, nothing stunning about it 36, really. Great location, nice bar, but you really need to think about the prices of the food here.

Nice ambience. Drinks reasonably priced. Good spot for private functions but food was OK ok. Had seafood chowder and chicken popcorn but I have tried better in Queenstown.
