Routeburn is terrific. Guides and lodges great. Very comfortable rooms with hot shower at the end of the day. Also the food is excellent with great variety at dinner.

Have completed Milford Track with Ultimate Hikes and it was my first experience with Glamping (Glamorous Tramping). I have to say it was fabulous. It could have been the proper beds, duvet and pillows in a twin room with on suite or the fantastic drying rooms or the three course meals that would have graced a top restaurant or the excellent guides and the 'Bar' (with beer and wine at reasonable prices). In reality it was the whole package which was very well organised and made the 33 mile tramp a pleasure (even after a day of non stop rain). Little things matter too like the lunch stops with tea and coffee. Soaked when reaching the Mckinnon memorial in heavy rain a Ultimate Hikes Guide (Paul) was waiting with flasks of hot drinks. A great experience. It must have been good I have already booked to do the Grand Traverse in December. I may never revert to carrying my pack and DOC huts again. Very highly recommended.

Well organised trip planning. Did the Milford Track with them and everything worked like clockwork.Great lodges with great guides. Great trip with a cruise of Milford Sound sound thrown in.

We did the Milford track and the knowledge and level of service the guides and the staff at each lodge provided was better than any of us had hoped for. We are already considering what to rebook with them for next year.
