Awesome afternoon learning to surf with the guys at Green Wave. Good tips and constant encouragement. I was struggling to stand in the first half of the lesson, so they hooked me up with a different board and gave me extra help. Next minute, I was standing and catching waves on my own! I'll definitely do another lesson next time I'm in Raglan. Thanks guys!

I booked a 2 day package and had an absolutely fantastic time. Wes, Zennor and Bing were very patient and encouraging. I would highly recommend these guys and will book again when I'm next back in Raglan.

My stay with Green Wave Raglan ended up being some of my favorite days in New Zealand—which is really saying something! The accommodations were lovely and everyone went out of their way to make me feel at home. I appreciated the chill vibe of the house after many hours of sun and surf. Totally unexpected highlights of my stay were the absolutely delicious family dinners the team cooked with local fish and meats—they do it right at Green Wave! As far as the surf lessons, the crew at Green Wave is top notch. They research the best time of day to get out on the water and also scout the best spots along the beach to ensure you're set up for success. I participated in the group surf lesson with about a dozen others. We broke out initially by skill level and the crew took the time to understand what we wanted to get out of the day. While in the water, I got just the right amount of 1v1 instruction tailored to my goals (as well as some of the best tips I never knew I needed). Everyone else in the group was so encouraging as well—it was an all-around great environment to learn and have fun. It wasn't my first time up on a surf board, but it was certainly my best time. The value of the surf and stay is more than worth the cost. It's perfect for a solo traveller, couples or groups of friends. I feel lucky for having experienced this tiny treasure and would highly recommend a stay here not only if you're in the area, but also as a memorable vacation destination.
My son and I did 4 group lessons with Green Wave Raglan. The guys were great. They were quick with communication to arrange the lessons, helpful at every stage, friendly, relaxed, fun and obviously love what they do. Each lesson included a warm up with stretching, a bit of theory, surfing (obviously) and photos to look back on. We both thought it was a lot of fun and would definitely go back to Green Wave next time we are in Raglan.
My friends and I had three-day surfing lessons with them. The coaches are all very nice and helpful. We had lots of fun and made progress in those three days. We'll definitely go back and surf more with them.
Really awesome guys. Very friendly and helpful. I thought it was going to be harder than it was but great teaching made it really fun. Have picked up surfing as a result :D
