Mickey T and the team at Raglan Longboards are a pleasure to deal with. Mickey helped me through choosing a board that is right for me; taking into account my skill level, regular surfing conditions etc etc. Now that I've had the board for about a week, and taking it out at every opportunity I have, I absolutely love it! This board fits me like my favourite pair of shoes, and I've gelled with it in a way I never did with my previous board. The quality of finish on Mickey's boards is impeccable; you can tell this board will last! You won't be disappointed with a board from Mickey! -Update 9 April 2021- I've had the board for about 4 months now and love it more and more every time I go out. Awesome construction; I've got a few minor pressure marks from rocks and other surfers fins, but no sign of any pressure dents on the deck. The board still rips, and the 21 setup gives it the perfect combination of turning and drive. Thanks again Mickey!

Rented the mini long board 6.6 over 3 years ago and still regret I didn't buy it whilst I was in NZ! Versatile wave catcher, smooth and turny; just a super fun board in many conditions! I miss it... Bonus: Mike and his wife are genuine and lovely people!
Had two bears over the years, a mini mal and a big boys fish (not me in the photo ) anyway, about to order my third. So far everything's been kosher and all those I trust in the world of longboards keep saying you can't go past Micky T. Ordering this week. Next review will be the proof. Update!!!!! My mal rocks, everything I wanted and more. Get one, get three!
Good ding repair ! But price upon inspection was 90 and did cost 125 in the end. That's nearly 30% more. Sorry but that is not acceptable especially when you advertise with ,,price upon inspection".

The best hand crafted boards in New Zealand period. Shaping, lamination, resin work - the whole enchilada - its all amazing. And the best surfshop in Raglan by a mile, full of NZ surfgear and really cool staff.

I've known and trusted Mickey and Sunny of Raglan Longboards since 2009. I have one longboard and one shortboard shaped by them and can honestly say they're the best!
