The very best place for seeing hundreds of seals and pups. Fantastic walkway and the most beautiful Maori Artwork, gardens and historical facts. Splendid place to visit.

New extensive viewing area..very nice. Loads of seals & pups playing in the pools. Must stop area. Even enough space to park with a caravan
Very very nice and interesting for having the place to see the seals.
We have seen so many seals!!! Adults and babies, it was amazing :D There is a small track on the other side of the road if you want to go to a small waterfall. This track is officially closed because of an earthquake but you can do it, just be careful for two reasons: some seals can be around and some part of the track are slippery
Favorite place to stop along the east coast road. Just wish people stopped throwing plastic bottles and general rubbish over the fence. The wild life doesn't need your rubbish
Perfect spot for watching seals. Excellent parking. Probably the only place to see heaps of seals right from a parking lot. Well worth stopping here. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, but beware, you aren't allowed to camp there
Watching the baby seals playing in the rock pools is a real highlight. Interesting info boards about the Kaikoura earthquake too
