Great company. They managed to accommodate us when we were running late for our shuttle. Secure private parking for peace of mind while you walk the Tongariro crossing. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend backyard tours shuttle service. We were very well taken cared of, from the morning pickup to the drop off back to where we stay. The whole journey is personalised and we were given lots of helpful tips and shared with local fun stories. What's more is that we missed the last shuttle due to some unexpected mistake on the way back from the Tongariro Crossing and a special pickup was arranged just for us on our late arrival. Thank you so much for making our trip a safe and pleasant one!

Backyard tours shuttle service met every expectation. Car park is in the perfect location for a thru-hike of the Tongariro Alpine crossing. They can't be blamed for the weather lucky for us the day we went the weather was perfect. Thank you backyard tours for providing a great start to an amazing day. Second time we used their services, it was great. Better than parking along the road. Friendly driver too. A bit weird though that the woman at the gate didn't have our booking, thought there's only one company operating here.

But most of all you brought a cultural context to our crossing which was important and appreciated and delivered with meaning. James was awesome and so was the lady who was happy to pick up my call at 8pm to make the next day booking. They have a secured carpark as well. Highly recommend!
