Very helpful and pleasant manager and staff! Went out of their way to help us, spending an hour with us to get bank account, EFTPOS card etc. set up. And with a smile!

The customer service here was A Easy to deal with - waived fees they could have charged me and ensured my banking experience was as easy as possible by recommending cards and products I could use. Because of this experience I've moved my KiwiSaver over as well. Wish I could remember his name - he attended HBHS. I feel like people are at the heart of the experience.
You cannot call the branch directly. Waste of time waiting in the queue on the phone for such a simple thing.
The staff is very unhelpful and not good at all..! I suggest all to open accounts in ANZ they atleast ask, how may I help you..! Here in bnz the staff is least interested in serving customers and at 3.45 they just hurrying to wind up and close.. Not at all good service..!
Website said Richmond branch was open 9am - 4.30pm on Monday 31 Dec (normal trading in NZ for almost everyone else). We drove a long way to do our end of December banking only to find this branch was closed, a bit of paper on the door said they were staying closed until Thursday 3rd January. A lot of people standing outside extremely unhappy about it ... not the first time we've had problems with BNZ Richmond, we will be changing to another bank at the earliest opportunity.
Tried going in today, website said will be open till 6;00pm drove half hour out of my way getting there at 4;43 to find it closed. Am happy I don't bank with them as the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing
