I visited a physio last week about a shoulder injury from the gym, and left absolutely gutted. I am not sure if it was ageism or lack of interest, but I left with a very vague diagnosis, had to ask for an exercise and there was no follow up plan. The clinic needs to ensure that if you are an athlete then you have an appointment with a physio who is interested in performance and rehabilitation. I don’t normally like to judge but having had a physio friend help me I can see that my visit was fruitless and a waste of taxpayers and my money.
