Best horse trekking in Rotorua by far, Lucy really cares about her horses and this shows. It was a big contrast to the other company in Rotorua (Adventure Horse Treks) who don't treat their horses well. I have done many horse treks across NZ and Australia and this was by far the best - could not recommend more. Beautiful views, lovely horses and a great activity to do with 3 friends.

Excellent trek this afternoon with our 8 year old granddaughter. Lucy and her team were great and the scenery amazing. Thoroughly recommend even if you havent ridden a horse since you were a kid!

Very rude and racist owner and a few of the staff. Spent close to 1000 for my family of five to enjoy a lovely trek. Treated other non-coloured customers nicely, looked at us and turned around again. One American worker was very lovely and helpful and friendly. Most of the others were not and the owner was the rudest. Trek was lovely.

First time ever getting close to a horse! Due to be terrified at the sheer size of this animals! However the girlfriend pulled me by the ear and got me to overcome the fear. Lucy and the young ladies at the stables were more than helpful and kind in taking their time with me and helping me relax. Due to my height I was on "Big" Joe, who has been their from the beginning and I was assured he could do the 1 hour trek on his own. They wasnt wrong. Big Joe and I were a match made in heaven. I sat down and he did the rest. By the end of the ride I wanted to go faster and felt like a cowboy. I can 100% say I have overcome my fear and would recommend this to anyone. Thank you so much Lucy and the girls for helping me with this!

Visited last year with family and had a substandard experience. After arriving, we waited for over 30 minutes while staff (including owner) ignored us but warmly welcomed other visitors. I'm not too sure why they were unable to see us, being a group of 5. May have something to do with being brown, can't confirm for sure but just a hunch. Anyways, after feeling mildly discriminated against we proceeded to put on our helmets. Felt very awkward because the owner kept bossing her staff around in front of us, kind of unpleasant and set an uncomfortable vibe, but she seemed to lighten up a lot once we started riding so that was good. Apart from the friendly horses and beautiful scenery, found the whole thing below average, definitely not worth 800. The tone was set by the staff as soon as we got there, won't be going back again.

We've been on several horse treks in New Zealand and this was by far our favorite. The 1.5 hour tour took us through native bush, through sheep fields and up to amazing vistas of three lakes. The guides were attentive and the horses looked really well cared for.
